The two Public Forums for the “Strategic Studies on Railways and Major Roads beyond 2030” were completed on 18 and 25 February 2023 respectively.

We have arranged two Public Forums for the “Strategic Studies on Railways and Major Roads beyond 2030”. The first session was completed on 18 February 2023.The second session will be held in hybrid mode, viz., on-site and online simultaneously, on 25 February 2023.

The Transport and Logistics Bureau, in collaboration with the Transport Department and the Highways Department, conducted consultation sessions in January and February with various stakeholders to collect opinions from various sectors, which include Professional Bodies, Academics Think Tanks, and Green Groups.
Study principles, preliminary findings and recommendations of the Strategic Studies on Railways and Major Roads beyond 2030 (RMR2030+ Study) were introduced, on which participants also voiced their opinions over the preliminary proposed proposals.

Public Forums for “Strategic Studies on Railways and Major Roads beyond 2030” are now open for online registration from 3 February 2023.

The Transport and Logistics Bureau, in collaboration with the Transport Department and the Highways Department, conducted a consultation session on 14 January, when members of the District Council were briefed on the study principles, preliminary findings, and recommendations of the Strategic Studies on Railways and Major Roads beyond 2030 (RMR2030+ Study) and had their opinions aired over the preliminary proposed proposals.

The Transport and Logistics Bureau, in collaboration with the Transport Department and the Highways Department, conducted a consultation session with the Heung Yee Kuk New Territories (Heung Yee Kuk) on 9 January on the study principles, preliminary findings and recommendations of the Strategic Studies on Railways and Major Roads beyond 2030 (RMR2030+ Study), on which members also voiced their opinions over the preliminary proposed proposals.
